BENEO: Towards a sustainable electric fleet
and efficient fleet management
BENEO, developer and producer of plant-based functional ingredients from natural sources for the food, feed and pharmaceutical industries, wanted to outsource its fleet to a reliable partner with an aim of efficiency. Moreover, they wanted, on the one hand, to make their fleet more sustainable and, on the other hand, to adapt their existing car policy to the new legislation of 1 July 2023 whereby the deductibility of costs for fossil-fuel company cars is gradually decreasing. Quite a few challenges, in other words.
TraXall not only offered us a solution for the management of our fleet but also proceeded to analyse with us what was needed to do that in an efficient and sustainable way. We made a conscious decision to engage TraXall Consulting Services before starting the implementation. This was to scrutinise our policy and working methods. After all, our car policy dated back from 2021 and had come about during a workshop with the Südzucker Group in Europe. We had established principles then that we have now translated into a new version anno 2024. Thanks to TraXall’s professional advice, today we are ready for the future in a world that is changing rapidly.

We made a new TCO calculation in view of BENEO’s desired vehicle choice and the sharp price increases on the market. It quickly became clear that electric vehicles were the most economical option to fit within BENEO’s car policy and fleet composition. We not only adapted and implemented the car policy but also introduced multi-bidding for every new company car order and advised on the choice of a supplier for pool management and charging stations. TraXall helped guide the entire process from advice to contract handling to ensure a smooth start of the cooperation.
